CSNC - patient's Christian Science nursing care needs require the skills of a Journal-Listed Christian Science Nurse (JLCSN) in some way: direct care of the patient, judgment regarding care, establishing the plan of care, supervision of other CS nurses providing care, teaching patient or family to provide correct care for patient. Situations which usually call for involvement by a JLCSN include: care of a patient who has injured a limb, who is confined to bed, who is not retaining food, who has a wound that needs to be cared for, who is having significant difficulty breathing-average of 5.5 hours CS nursing care per day.
If a patient requires substantially more time than what is included in level of care, Wide Horizon reserves the right to charge $50 per hour for additional Christian Science nursing care than noted in respective level or move patient to another level as appropriate. Wide Horizon seeks to maintain a spiritually active atmosphere. All guests are expected to do as much for themselves as they can. Christian Science nursing assistance is performed in a way that promotes independence rather than greater reliance upon others. Our expectation for every guest is continuing progress and healing. Therefore Wide Horizon should only be considered as one's temporary home. Normally, no time limits are placed on the length of a guest's stay in Christian Science Care as long as he/she is working for healing. For rate information, click here. |
