Christian Science nurses lovingly attend to the practical needs of those who are having difficulty eating or retaining food, breathing, moving about, who are confined to bed, have any kind of wound, or are overcoming the effects of a fall. Medicare coverage may be available for these services.

All Christian Science Nursing Care (CSNC) patients are required to be receiving daily Christian Science treatment from a Christian Science practitioner listed in a current issue of The Christian Science Journal and are expected to be actively studying and practicing Christian Science.

CSNC patients receive one or more of the following services in addition to having assistance with personal care and mobility.

• Full bed care.
• Preparation of special meals and nourishment, including food modification.
• Individual feeding.
• Cleansing and bandaging of wounds.
• Special care when overcoming effects of a fall or injured limb.

Wide Horizon seeks to maintain a calm, quiet, loving, spiritual atmosphere that supports Christian Science healing. In addition to assisting with their daily human needs, our Christian Science nurses help patients to make regular use of Wide Horizon's many spiritual resources. These include the Weekly Bible Lesson Sermon (available in audio, video, and large print formats); Christian Science periodicals (a complete library of present and back issues); inspirational tapes and compact discs; reference books; broadcasts of Sunday services and Wednesday testimony meetings from First Church of Christ, Scientist, Denver; and in-house testimony meetings.
