Wide Horizon, Inc. is a not-for-profit institution. The IRS recognizes us as a Section 501(c)(3) organization. This means that your contributions are tax deductible. Some of our guests are not able to pay the full cost for our services. Therefore, substantial portions of our expenses are covered by individual monetary contributions. Such assistance is absolutely essential for Wide Horizon to carry out its mission.
If you would like to make a gift in any of the following categories, your help would be gratefully accepted. Checks should be made payable to "Wide Horizon, Inc." and indicate the purpose for the gift. You may also donate online using a credit card or checking account.
Make a donation now using your credit card or bank account.
- General Fund - Gifts to be used for the day-to-day operations and funding of financial assistance to patients.
- Endowment Fund - Invest in the future of Wide Horizon.
- Loaves and Fishes Fund - Contact us directly if you would like to automatically transfer a specific amount from your checking account each month, or to have us furnish you with individual pre-addressed envelopes for use in making regular monthly contributions.
Many gifts to charitable organizations can have substantial tax benefits for the giver. For example:
- Appreciated Property, stocks or mutual funds make good charitable contributions. A donor can make a larger gift, get a larger deduction, and at the same time avoid capital gains taxes on the transaction. Wide Horizon has established a special brokerage account to accept these gifts of securities.
- Giving life insurance policies or naming a charity as a policy beneficiary makes sense when provision has already been made for family members. Such gifts remain outside the estate for tax purposes.
- Wide Horizon can be remembered in a will by designating a bequest for "Wide Horizon, Inc. a Colorado Nonprofit Corporation."
- Charitable Remainder Trusts coupled with insurance may enable givers to perpetuate an existing income stream and make a major gift to Wide Horizon, while in some cases increasing the amount to be passed along to family members.
Individuals considering such contributions should consult their attorney or tax advisor before making the gift. Thank you in advance for your loving support.
