We are putting changes in place due to the current national and global pandemic. As a State-licensed “Nursing Care Facility,” Wide Horizon, Inc. is required to follow the guidelines from the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Per these guidelines we have activated an emergency preparedness program for infectious disease control.
Effective as of March 13, 2020:
- All visitation has been suspended.
- No visitors, including Christian Science Practitioners and volunteers will be admitted.
- All outside activities, including attending church services outside of Wide Horizon, as well as events on our campus have been suspended until further notice.
- In lieu of visitation, Wide Horizon will be glad to help facilitate phone calls or video calls, if so desired.
We’re grateful for the way Marshall Ingwerson, Chief Executive Officer of Principia College, expressed the following sentiments. We have paraphrased, inserting Wide Horizon into these comments and with added emphasis.
“As global efforts to contain the Coronavirus escalate, we at [Wide Horizon] are supporting those efforts with every common sense step to keep all [patients, residents and staff] safe. We are also conscious of the importance of reassuring the larger communities around us dealing with this fear. We want to convey that we are safe neighbors and good fellow citizens. As Mary Baker Eddy writes, ‘When fear disappears, the foundation of disease is gone.’” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 368)
“Our goal is to lessen fear with everything we do by neither under-reacting nor over-reacting, but responding to the mental [and practical] need of the moment.”
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact either of us.

“One in the larger thought of God; —
The freer step, the fuller breath,
The wide horizon’s grander view;
The sense of Life that knows no death, —
The Life that maketh all things new.”
— Christian Science Hymnal, 218
